tonight's Court of Honor!
David B. postponed his Eagle Project that was to be
conducted this Sunday,
June 1st. Do not show up at the armory on Sunday! David felt he
is not quite prepared and said that he will announce the revised date
soon.
Zack S.’s Eagle Project will be
June 14 from 9:00 - 4:00. You will be working at Sarah's House (Ft Meade) to
build a brick grill, replace benches and tables, and revitalize a garden.

Kevin D. thanked everyone who helped him on his Eagle
Project to construct a rain garden at
Drivers are still needed for June camping & rafting
trip. We have never had to turn scouts away due to lack of drivers. Please
contact Mr. Phil Conant if you can drive one way or round trip. The trip to the
campground is approximately 3.5 hours.
Mr. Mike Rice handed out merit badge sign up sheets for the
Rangers and Ventures who are attending summer camp at Broad Creek. The sheets
should be filled out and turned in next week.
June 12th will be a very special evening! We will hold
elections for Order of the Arrow, which is recognized as Scouting's honor
society. Approved as part of the Scouting program in 1934, the OA recognizes
the Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, it
develops and maintains camping traditions and spirit, it promotes Scout camping
and it stresses cheerful service to others. To hold an election, we need at
least 50% of the registered boys present. So, please attend the meeting on 12
June! You will learn about a part of Scouting that has been absent from the
Troop's program for several years!
Also on 12 June, there will be a meeting for parents about
summer camp. It is especially important for the parents of the first year
Scouts to attend.
