 KNOCK  KNOCK!

Scouts, Troop 874 is knocking on YOUR door!  The troop is looking to elect a new Senior Patrol Leader during the June 26 meeting.  Candidates are advised to speak with previous Senior Patrol Leaders to get their opinions on the challenges and rewards of this premier leadership position in Troop 874.  They should also plan on meeting with Scoutmaster Kevin McGovern before they consider running for election.  Knock Knock!

Summer Camp at Camp Saffron Draws Close

The troop annual summer camp from July 13 – 19 is drawing near.  Here are several important items to keep in mind:

Rita Bietry reminds parents that their scout's physical must be current.  Check with Rita during the troop meeting.

Also note that a scout's troop dues must be current if the scout is attending summer camp.  Scouts should check the dues envelope distributed weekly to patrol leaders to confirm if they are behind in their dues.

A two-page flyer was recently distributed on summer camp for scout and parents.  It includes info on essential equipment, Mr Fleischmann's Top 10 List of What Not To Do When Preparing Your Scout for Summer Camp, and departure information.  Contact Doreen Klose or Jerry Fleischmann if you have questions.  The two-page flyer is attached to these notes.

 Formal Troop Meetings to Continue

Although school is no longer in session, regular Troop meeting will continue to be held every Thursday evening until the Troop attends summer camp.  A full program is planned by the Troop leadership.  These meetings are particularly important in preparing for the numerous summer camps the troop is attending.

Announcements Worth Repeating
