Camping Trip to Antietam National Battlefield Park – Scouts attending the camping trip this weekend must meet at Glen Mar at 6:00 pm, Friday (yes, that is 6:00 pm or 1800 hours!)

Life to Eagle Seminar – All scouts who have attained the rank of Life Scout are expected to attend a Life to Eagle seminar.  The National Pike District will hold a Life to Eagle Seminar at the regular October Roundtable on Monday, October 13.  See Mr. Scarburgh for more information.

Introduction to Venturing Program – Crew 874 will hold an "open house" on Tuesday, Sept 30 at Glen Mar.  Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.  See Mr. Randy Possehl for more information.  For more information on the Venturing program see http://www.scouting.org/venturing.aspx

Webelos-O-Ree – Troop 874 is sponsoring a station at the Fall 2009 Webelos-O-Ree on October 24 – 26 at Broadcreek Scout Reservation.  This is a great opportunity to showcase our troop and our fine scouting skills.  It is also a great way to recruit new members to the troop.  Boys interested in attending and running a station should contact Mr. Mike Rice.
