IMPORTANT NOTICE:  On Thursday, June 18 Troop will elect a new Senior Patrol Leader.  All scouts are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting and to cast a vote for one of the three candidates.  This is an important opportunity to see that the Troop remains a strong, scout-run troop.

Late Breaking Information:

Troop T-shirts: New Troop T-shirts will be available on Thursday, June 18 from Dennis G.  Shirts that were previously ordered will be provided first.  A limited number of new Troop T-shirts will also be available for $14 each.  No rain checks, no special orders!

Old Troop T-shirts:  A few of the previous troop T-shirts will be available for $7 each.  These are new shirts (not recycled!) in the old style (beige color) and are a great bargain that is sure to sell quickly.

Troop Notes:

Missing Tents – Yes, several tents have not been returned from the last camping trip.  Scouts should check their gear and make sure the tents are clean and dry before returning them to the troop.  Make sure you see your program quartermaster or the troop quartermaster.

Senior Patrol Leader Elections – Three candidates have come forward for the June 18 SPL elections.  Those candidates are Conor S, Tyler N, and Alex S.  Scouts are strongly encouraged to vote on June 18 so that Troop 874 remains a strong, scout-led troop.

Baltimore Orioles game tickets – Tickets for the Saturday, June 27 Orioles – National game are still available but the number of tickets is limited.  The cost is $7.00, a real bargain.  See Jarred G. or contact Mr. Pier Carroll.  Note:  because this will be a Troop function adults are expected to refrain from drinking alcohol while attending with the troop.

Merit Badge Selections for Camp Ockanickon – Ranger and Venture attending Camp Ockanickon this summer should have received a merit badge selection form.  These forms must be completed before attending camp so that individual schedules can be assembled.  Scouts must consult with an adult leader in their assigned program (assistant scoutmaster, patrol coach, etc).  Completed forms must be returned to Mr. Ludlow.

Summer Camp Physicals – Beginning June 4 Rita Bietry will be collecting physicals for summer camp attendees.  Scouts will need a Class 1 and Class 2 physical or have a current Class 3 physical.  Parts A and C of the physical must be completed.  An electronic version of the BSA physical is available on the Baltimore Area Council website (http://www.doubleknot.com/openrosters/DocDownload.asp?orgkey=749&id=54259)

Or go to the BAC web site (http://www.baltimorebsa.org/) and click on “forms”.

CPR Training Certificates – If you completed the CPR training on May 27 with Mrs. Landry-Fida you can pick up your certificate from her.  Thanks for taking the time to take this valuable training.

Lower Yoch DVD – If you floated the Lower Yoch with the troop you can get a DVD from Mrs. Landry-Fida.  Limit is one DVD per family.  Sorry, not DVD from the Middle Yoch.

Adult Training Records – Adults should provide their record of training to Mr. Bob Scarborough.

Youth Protection Training – Will Land will conduct Youth Protection Training for adults on Thursday, July 9.  All adults attending summer camp must have participated in Youth Protection Training.  Let Will Land know you are interested and that you will attend.
