Note from Committee Chair Bob Johnson:
Troop 874 Families:
At the September committee meeting it was decided to
reschedule the September outing from 18-20 September to the following weekend
25-27 September. The location will also change. We will camp at
This decision was made based on the following two reasons.
Rosh Hashanah is a major Jewish holiday and, though we do not know how many
scouts might be unable to go camping because of the holiday, we would prefer
that scouts not miss an outing due to a conflict with a religious holiday. Pine
Grove Furnace (surprisingly) had group camping sites that would accommodate the
entire troop on the following weekend.
The troop's calendar has been updated. I regret any
inconvenience this might cause.
Again, all Troop 874 families are requested to please review
the troop's calendar regularly and let me know if there are conflicting
holidays that I have not spotted.
