Troop Notes 1/28/10

 

Klondike Derby – Saturday January 30 – Troop 874 will be running a monkey bridge station at the Klondike Derby at McKeldin State Park (Marriottsville Road) this Saturday.  Scout and Adult volunteers are still needed.  We will be meeting at Glen Mar at 7:00am.  The event will run until 4pm.  Please come for as much time as you can spare at anytime throughout the day.  Breakfast, lunch, snacks and warm beverages will be served. SCUBA Certification

The Venture program is looking into doing a SCUBA certification program this summer.  Preliminary indications is that the course would be open to Scouts 14 and older.  Further details will be forthcoming.

 

February's Ski Trip

Mr. Eddy has forms that still have to be filled out and information to collect.  Please see him at the next Troop meeting if you haven't already dome so.

 

Mulch Sales

Mrs. Dwyer is looking for help from the entire Troop for our 2nd Annual Mulch Sale.  Please see the attached sales flyer.  She is also planning an adult meeting for the 11th of

Scouting for Food

This year's Scouting for Food is coming up at the end of February.  More information will be forthcoming

 

Summer Camp Planning Meeting 

 

This meeting will be held in room 121 on Tuesday, February 9th, at 7:30 pm.  All adults are welcome to join in the planning process.

 

Troop Committee Meeting 

 

The committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 3rd, at 7:30 at Glen Mar UMC.  All adults are encouraged to attend and support the troop.  Bob Johnson will send out an agenda early next week.

 

3rd Annual Freeze Out

Please find an attached permission slip which must be turned in if you are considering going on the Troop's 3rd Annual Freeze Out.  This is the same weekend as the Troop Ski Trip and last but most definitely not the least, we would like to extend congratulations to Tomas F. who was selected by the Scouts as the new Senior Patrol Leader!  We would also like to thank Tom K. for stepping up and running for this important position.
