Dec 15^th Troop Notes

Happy Holidays to All - There will be no meeting Thursday December 22^nd or December 29th.  Our next regularly scheduled meeting will be Jan 5^th.

PLC – There will be a PLC meeting on Tuesday night Jan 3^rd.

January Camping – Due to no meetings on the 22^nd and 29^th, money for the January trip (Camp Tomahawk) is due at the January 5^th meeting.

Congratulations Pioneers – A special thanks to all pioneers for being the only group that returned all their gear in by last weeks meeting.  All attending the trip will receive a special reward for there hard work.

YMCA Big Success! – December's overnighter at the YMCA was a big hit, splash, climb or lift for all the boys who participated in the weight challenge.  Special thanks go out to all parents who stayed overnight and leaders who made this happen.

SPL – Troop 874 is looking for a new SPL, and elections are coming up in January.  If you think you have the right stuff to lead the troop, see Mr. Kieta.  Elections will be held at the January trip.

A time to reflect – It has been a great year here at Troop 874!  That being said, we always strive to do our best, which means we need all scouts help in making 2012 a better year than 2011.  To do this we need the scouts to come up with ideas for trips, meetings, merit badges that they would like to see planned in the next 6 months.  To make this happen they need to get with their patrol leaders and voice their opinions at the January trip.
