Talel A.’s Eagle Court of Honor will be at tomorrow, Friday, May 11th, at 5:00 p.m., at Glen Mar United Methodist Church. All boys and families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

 

Camping news - We are critically short of drivers for the May outing (18-20 May). If you can drive, please contact Mr. Mike Meyers immediately. Adults camping on May 18-20 should have paid $20 for food to Dave Dobbs or Ken "Mom" Springer this evening.

 

Mrs. Gloria Serrao will hold another Personal Fitness Merit Badge session at the Howard High School track on Saturday. It starts a bit earlier than normal – 8:30 a.m.

 

Memorial Day Weekend – "We Remember" - The Troop will place US flags on the graves at the national cemetery in Catonsville as part of the "We Remember" celebration. We will leave Glen Mar at 5:30 on Friday, May 25 th. After placing the flags, there will be a brief ceremony that the entire family would enjoy and we expect to return at about 8:30. Permission slips (attached) are required for this event.

 

Are you interested in living onboard a 50-foot sailing yacht in the Florida Keys for a week? Do you want to learn navigation at sea, fishing, sailing and snorkeling? Sign up to be part of the Sea Base Crew for August 2008. We have space for 2-4 boys and they must be 14 years of age by September 1, 2008. If you are interested, contact Mr. Tom Feroli.

 

Summer Camp - The final payment for summer camp is due absolutely no later than Thursday, 24 May. The payments vary from family to family, so if there is any question as to what you owe, please contact Dennis Gajewski for the exact amount of your final payment. Remember, Pioneers should have added $45 to cover the cost of the Basketry Merit Badge kit and the Leatherwork Merit Badge kit.

 

Reminder - Troop 874's Dinner and Court of Honor is on Sunday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. It will be held at Church of the Resurrection, just behind the Home Depot on Route 40. The exact address is: 3175 Paulskirk Dr, Ellicott City, MD 21042. The dinner starts at 6:00 and will be catered by E.W. Becks. Tickets are $10 for 11-years and up and $8 for 10 and under. Tickets can be purchased any Thursday until May 24th or by emailing Randy Possehl or Dennis Gajewski.  The Court of Honor is free and starts at 7:30.
